We tailor service to customers' individual needs and offer access to the broader North American freight-rail network with connections to Canadian National and Canadian Pacific Kansas City.

Cape Breton &
Central Nova Scotia Railway (CBNS)
Operated by our Nova Scotia & Eastern Railway (NSER), CBNS services customers from Truro to Point Tupper and interchanges with CN in Truro.
Goderich Exeter Railway (GEXR)
GEXR runs 77 miles on two main branches - one from Goderich to Stratford and another from Clinton to Centralia. The railroad connects with CN in Stratford.
Huron Central Railway (HCRY)
HCRY, one of G&W's first two railways in Canada, spans 196 miles from Sault Ste. Marie to Sudbury, connecting CN on the Sault Ste. Marie end and with CPCK on the Sudbury side.
Knob Lake & Timmins Railway (KLT)
KLT serves local mines in the Schefferville area, crossing between the provinces of Quebec and Newfoundland & Labrador.
Ottawa Valley Railway (RLK)
RLK runs contiguous with HCRY and offers service to industries from Sudbury to Temiscaming, providing the same CPKC connection as HCRY.
Quebec Gatineau Railway (QGRY)
QGRY, one of G&W's first two railroads in Canada, is a 358-mile regional railway that spans from Gatineau to Quebec City and runs right through the Montreal metro area. The railway also serves the Port of Trois Rivieres. Interchange partners include CPKC in Montreal and CN in Joliette, Shawinigan and Quebec City.
Red Deer Railway (RDR)
RDR was G&W's first railroad in Western Canada. It runs from Jackson, Alberta, to Homeglen, Alberta, and uses operating rights over Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) from Red Deer, Alberta, to Chigwell, Alberta, and to Prentiss, Alberta. A direct interchange with CPKC in Red Deer provides access to the North American freight-rail network, while RDR’s railcar storage capacity as well as railcar-to-truck transloading and railcar switching capabilities offer broader logistics services.
St. Lawrence & Atlantic Railway (SLQ)
SLQ begins right at the border of Quebec and Vermont and traverses roughly 100 miles up to Sainte-Rosalie with trackage rights to Saint-Lambert. The railway interchanges with CPKC in Sherbrooke and CN in Saint-Lambert.
Southern Ontario
Railway (RLHH)
Running 12 miles from Nanticoke to Garnet Yard, RLHH offers access to CN's network with a connection in Garnet.
Western Labrador Rail Services (WLRS)
In some of the harshest weather conditions in North America, WLRS provides rail service to mining companies operating in Labrador and the Quebec North Shore. The company was created to haul iron ore over a 31-kilometer railway from Bloom Lake, Quebec to Wabush, Labrador.
