G&W's California Operations
Seven Genesee & Wyoming freight operations in California connect state industries - from food & kindred products and agricultural products to energy products and lumber & forest products - to end markets across the country and beyond.
G&W's California footprint is comprised of over 800 miles of track and more than 130 employees.
With rail's fuel efficiency being four times that of the trucking industry, moving freight with G&W's California railroads removes roughly 632,000 truckloads from the state's roads and highways each year.
