Genesse & Wyoming has six freight railroads throughout Michigan that operate safely and efficiently over nearly 700 miles of track and employ more than 100 local residents.

Among the top industries served by our short lines in the state are chemicals & plastics, agriculture, energy, and food & kindred products.

With rail being four times more fuel-efficient than truck, our collective number of annual carloads remove roughly 178,000 truckloads from the state's roads and highways.
