The Savannah Port Terminal Railroad (SAPT) is an 18 mile short
line freight railroad serving the Georgia Port Authority and
interchanging with CSX Transportation and Norfolk Southern.
Commodities transported include chemicals, food products,
intermodal containers, and pulp and paper.
The SAPT was acquired by Genesee & Wyoming in 1998.
