The Golden Isles Terminal Wharf (GITW) is a seven-mile short
line freight railroad serving Savannah Wharf customers and
interchanging with CSX Transportation.
Commodities transported include chemicals, food and feed
products, metals and minerals, petroleum products, pulp and paper,
wood pellets and bulk freight.
The GITW was acquired by Genesee & Wyoming in 2004.
