Overview

The Georgia Southwestern Railroad (GSWR) is a 234-mile short line freight railroad that interchanges with CSX Transportation, Heart of Georgia Railroad and Norfolk Southern.

Commodities transported include aggregates, chemicals, ethanol, peanuts, food products, and scrap metal.

The GSWR was acquired by Genesee & Wyoming in 2008.
