The Georgia Central Railroad (GC) is a 171-mile short line
freight railroad that interchanges with CSX Transportation, Heart
of Georgia Railroad and Norfolk Southern.
Commodities transported include coal, chemicals, farm and food
products, forest products, minerals and stone, plastics, and pulp
and paper products.
The GC was acquired by Genesee & Wyoming in 2005.
